Awesome FHE

We had the best Family Home Evening last night! We were invited (yes all of us) to go over to our wonderful friends home, the Plowthows. In their basement they have a room dedicated to his trains that he has built himself. As well as a an old fashioned soda fountain.
We had so much fun and the kids were awesome, so well behaved!

Marcia and Richard Plowthow

The kids loved seeing how the trains worked. It was quite detailed and Bro. Plowthow was kind enough to allow each kid run the trains, toot the horns and then told them all about building them and the details that were involved. It was awesome.
Max especially loved it, he loves trains!

After the lesson and the train play they treated all of us to their soda fountain. They made a few different ones for all of us to try before we decided which one we wanted. It was so much fun, they had us try a cherry soda and a lemon soda. Then they sampled a chocolate soda and a chocolate malt. Most of the kids decided on the chocolate malt, we also had banana splits and sundaes. Talk about going home on a sugar high!!! But totally worth it.

Makin Pizzas

Chad works with a guy who is part owner of Black Jack Pizza. On Saturday Jon invited me and four of my kids to come down and learn all about the art of Pizza Making. I took Raegan, Kalli, Tyler and Andrew. Each of them got to make their own personal pizza and I got to make a large pizza to take home. We had a blast!!!

The dough guy showing us how high he could flip his pizza dough

Andrew loves pizza...as long as it only has cheese on it!

Kalli won for most "creative" pizza. She had banana peppers and jalapenos on her pizza as well as olives and a few other ingredients.

We were all surprised at how quickly the pizzas cooked and how fast the dough rose.

This is the pizza I made to take home to Chad. Half with vegis (my half) and the other half with lots of meat (Chad's half).

WA LA!

Busy Busy

I have not updated my blog hardly at all!! I used to be so on top of it...I used to be more on top of a lot of things. It seems like every day is a blur. My kids teachers must think that there are no parents in the home. Let's just say we are lucky to have teeth brushed and a different pair of pants on every day.
My kids friend still keep coming around, we must not have scared them off yet with all of our craziness.
One of Raegan's friends told me yesterday that she loved being in our home that it always felt "homey". That was such a compliment to me because I was worried that friends would stay clear away from our house between the smell of diapers, having to step over diapers and babies crying, eight year olds crying and sometimes mommy crying.
I guess it's a pretty great place to be.

Raegan and Kalli hanging out watching a movie with their friends in our basement. I love these girls they really have some great friends!!!

Look at these three handsome guys!
Max, Tyler and Andrew

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment. My OB had mentioned that he wanted to take a picture with our family for his book. I have the most kids that he has ever delivered. He delivered all nine of my children at the same hospital. He is a great doctor. With my eight pregnancies only one time did I ever have to meet with one of his partners for a doctor appointment, only because Dr. Hansen had to do an emergency C-Section. So yesterday we brought the whole family for a photo. We picked the kids up from school and headed up to the hospital.

You gotta love Sydney's dirty knees from recess and Kalli's bright purple sweatshirt. All of the kids look like they came straight off the play ground.
I have to laugh!!
It will be interesting to see if the photographer got any good shots.

Pancake Day

We are SO excited for Spring!!!

Our friends and neighbors got together for Pancake Day. Our neighbors are from England and they celebrate pancake day every year...still not sure what "pancake day" is but we had a great time. The kids played games with pancakes.

Sydney and Casey
Then we got to enjoy pancakes with a bunch of different toppings to choose from. There was whip cream, syrup, lemon juice, sugar and ice cream. The kids had a ball, it was absolutely freezing but that didn't seem to matter.

Max was freezing!!! He loved the whip cream...the more the better!

Kate and Max are the best of buddies who argue and boss each other around.

Nicholas can't wait for warmer weather but until then he has been loving walks in the cooler temps.

On the move

This kid LOVES his Spaghetti! Though he is not a lot of fun to clean up after he is done eating.

Nicholas is walking!

He has been taking steps since he turned one but has been very careful. He has finally gotten enough courage to stand up and walk, now he is all over the place. He is so cute and always has such a bright smile on his face.

I had this hat on and he wanted it. He would not let me have it back. He is such a fun kid, so sweet and is always smiling.

Rub a dub dub...

I know that someday they will kill me for posting this but I just couldn't resist. This tub is not a very big tub but all four boys insisted on taking a bath together.
It makes me laugh!

Ty's Basketball Team

"The Bombers"
Tyler just got finished playing basketball. He had a great experience and was an awesome player. Unfortunately I think the team only had one win. The boys had great attitudes and learned a whole lot in their first year.

Just because...

Nicholas in the shower! He loves to take a shower, I can't believe how much he is looking more and more like Tyler every day.

Raegan and the Babies
Babies, Babies and more Babies. It seems like we always have some one holding, burping or rocking a baby at all times.
Max LOVES his babies. He calls them Chayce and Chandver
