Sydney has recently started horseback riding lessons. Syd has ALWAYS loved horses. I mean to the point that half of her seven years of life she has spent being a horse. I thought she would out grow it but apparently she didn't so we decided to embrace it and sign her up. This was the best thing we could have done. She grins ear to ear the moment she walks into the arena. And it is so fun for her to have her "own thing" that no one else gets to do in our family. Her instructor asked me if she has taken lessons or ridden much before because she is a "Natural"! It must be the Kerby blood running through her veins. The extended Kerby family is involved in roping and rodeos, so she must come along those blood lines.
It is amazing to watch her ride these horses with no help, no one is holding onto her rope. She just gets on there and kicks that horse as hard as she can and trots away.

She looks like she is having fun! My daughter that is 8 also took up lessons this year, it is her favorite thing she has done thus far!
Good to see you up and blogging again. I love to see the pics and know whats going on in your life. Now kick your sisters in the pants and tell them they need to get at it again. Your baby is so cute and I especially liked the pic with Dad and the boys. All of your kids are darling.
Super cute! is that the arena in lindon?? If so I took lessons there once upon a time.. and I wasn't such a natural :) unless you consider being scared out of your mind being a natural! ps, I can't get over how much max looks like sydney in those sledding pictures!
Wow that is really great! I am one of those "weird" people that are afraid of horses. I think they are beautiful creatures, but I am really afraid of them. She is one brave young girl!
