Fun, Family, 4th of July!
I LOVE the forth of July weekend. I love the BBQs the fireworks, being with family, the parades, the friendships and of course the patriotism. We started this Forth of July weekend with an early morning trip down to Provo to see the Hot Air Balloon show.
This year they had a Darth Vader Ballon
the kids thought was pretty cool.
Chandler, Nicholas and ChayceThe morning of the Forth we have a tradition of going to the Provo Parade. It's crazy. It's more about the tradition, the food, the family than the parade itself. Chad goes down at 4:30AM to save our place. This year Raegan and Kalli slept out side with some of our friends to ensure us a great parade spot. There are over 300,000 people who come out for this parade.
Crazy and Ridiculous I know but it's tradition!!
Kylee and Kalli
McKenna and Raegan
Tyler and Grandma
Sydney got picked out of the crowd to break a board from a Karate Studio, she thought she was pretty tough.
Before the parade starts Chad always brings a football to throw around with the kids, again it's tradition!
Kalli who doesn't really even enjoy parades but wanted to spend the night at the parade spot, slept through most of the parade.
The babies did not enjoy the fire trucks or the police sirens. But they were so good despite the loud noises.
Max was all about the traditions!!!
Nicholas was awesome! He just sat in the stroller the entire time and watched and clapped, he is such a great little kid!!!
Now how many parades have you been to where the missionaries get their own entry and a standing ovation!?! Gotta Love Utah!!!
That evening we had a BBQ with our good friends the Hatches as well as Stacey, Kirk and kids and Grandma
Teagan and Max
(they are going to get married)
Andrew, Taylor Hatch, Sydney and Raegan watching fireworks

Teagan and Sydney
We love the Forth of July. It's so much fun to get to watch fireworks from Grandma's front yard. It's perfect so we can put babies to bed while the rest of us stay up late and enjoy the show.
Happy Forth of July!

Ok, I have never done this before and I am taking a big chance right now! Well, I have a son named Preston Skinner, who just attended EFY. He has come home a changed young man by his experience at EFY! He had come home talking about this particular speaker named Chad Kerby and telling me how funny he was! He said that Chad's class was one of the classes he really enjoyed attending. Preston asked me if I knew who he was and I wasn't sure why he thought I might know him but, I never asked. :( The days have passed by and I have continued to hear about EFY. All of a sudden, I remembered that I knew a Chad Kerby from Mesa High but really didn't think that could possibly be who Preston was talking about. What are the odds of that? So late tonight, I had a thought to look into this a little deeper and this is where my search has lead me. My son is asleep, so I wasn't able to show him your picture to see if this is the Chad Kerby who was such and amazing teacher at EFY! If it is... I want to thank you for having a great influence on Preston. You never know the lives you will touch and the influence you will have on these young people. It is amazing how life has come full circle. It has taken us from Mesa High to here. You were hilarious at MHS and how awesome it is that you are still the same! This is Jennifer Cooley and I married Nate Skinner, Mr. Skinner, the MHS Biology and Anatomy teachers son!
How awesome that you have 9 children!! WOW! Hats off to you and your sweet wife!
Thank you! Jennifer Cooley Skinner
I am not on Facebook but if you would like to reply, with your wife's OK, my email address is Jenaznative@yahoo.com. Preston would be blown away to hear from you! But I totally understand if you both don't feel comfortable. No worries! :)
Such a nice compliment. Yes he did speak at EFY last week. Thanks for finding us!!

I love the 4th of July in Utah!! It has been the best 4th of July I have ever had! I've had the desire to go back every year ever since we spent the 4th with you 8 years ago! Yes, it's been that long--Becca was just a baby! Maybe next year!
