Crazy Fun in Utah

Hey everyone I am working on a new project, in my spare time ha ha! I am creating a blog all about the fabulous things there are to do in Utah. We are now a family of 9 and would have loved to have a resource on fun and inexpensive things to do in Utah with a bunch of kids in tow as well as opinions and suggestions to go along with it. So I am creating that. I will review parks, activities, events and whatever else I so desire to give people an insight on what to do while living here or visiting here. I will post when there are specials or coupons for places and in the mean time get to take my kids to many different places just to review them. I think it will be a lot of work but a lot of fun too. So please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions on places we should visit. And you can bet there will be lots of pictures of the things we do and where we do them. Tyler turned 9 years old!

Tyler is our sports nut! He loves anything that has to do with a ball. He got a tennis racket, tennis balls and a new basket ball.

Then we took a few of his buddies from school to play Lazer Tag and then out to a pizza buffet.
Man can those boys eat!

Hula Hula Happy Birthday!

Tonight my friend Heather and I threw an AWESOME surprise birthday party for our girls turning 12. Andra and Raegan. We had a Luau themed party in my friend Sue's basement.

Then toward the end of the party we had some hula dancers come and they were awesome!!

Raegan and Andra were so cute and so gracious! They are so excited to start young women's together, they were also baptized together when they were 8.

Hooray for Kalli

Kalli is in Ballroom Dancing through her elementary school. She loves it and is learning so much. This last week she had a competition and was thrilled to learn that her group made it to the next round.
Way to go Kalli!!!

Nicholas is 4 Weeks old

Nicholas is 4 weeks old this week. What a sweet blessing he has been in our home. He is the sweetest little guy. I can't get enough of his sweet smelling head and his big dark blue eyes.

Super Max is 3

Today was Max's 3rd Birthday. The day started out perfect...
Garbage day.
Max LOVES garbage day because he LOVES the garbage truck.

Me and a few of the ladies in our ward have a play group every Wednesday. So today I had the playgroup and decided to do a birthday party for Super Max. Too bad that Super Max spent most of his party crying or screaming at the other boys. Whoever said the two's are terrible never had a three year old.

By the end of his party he was nice again. He loved blowing out candles and opening presents and he especially loved his friends!

Getty Up Syd the Kid

Sydney has recently started horseback riding lessons. Syd has ALWAYS loved horses. I mean to the point that half of her seven years of life she has spent being a horse. I thought she would out grow it but apparently she didn't so we decided to embrace it and sign her up. This was the best thing we could have done. She grins ear to ear the moment she walks into the arena. And it is so fun for her to have her "own thing" that no one else gets to do in our family. Her instructor asked me if she has taken lessons or ridden much before because she is a "Natural"! It must be the Kerby blood running through her veins. The extended Kerby family is involved in roping and rodeos, so she must come along those blood lines.

It is amazing to watch her ride these horses with no help, no one is holding onto her rope. She just gets on there and kicks that horse as hard as she can and trots away.

Nicholas and Andrew
Andrew adores his baby brother. He is often found laying next to Nicholas, talking to him or sometimes just staring at him. I love the sweet little bond that is already taking place.

Max...gotta love this kid!
Now this kid is a mess! He adores his baby brother but feels he needs to take his anger about being "replaced" as the baby of the family out on mom or dad. He is so stinking ornery right now. Mom and Dad are having to be quite patient. I am loving bed time and nap time!!!

Tyler is thinking that it is pretty great having this new little guy around. He finds him pretty dang cute! Tyler especially likes that Nicholas doesn't take up too much of his Dad's time. Tyler thinks Chad is his "personal dad" and likes to spend as much time with dad as possible but is willing to share him on occasion.

Our neighbor is a photographer, as a gift to us she offered to take some 5 day old pictures of our little Nicholas. I think she was able to capture some really cute pictures of our little guy. Oh they grow up so fast, I love this sweet little newborn stage, I wish it could last just a little longer.
