Fun Times

With everything that has been going on with my dad I haven't really been in a mood to blog but I need to. This week we kind of get to sit on pins and needles until we know more concerning the cancer. But I need to do things to keep my mind off of it, INSTEAD of Baking! It's pretty pathetic, my sisters and I are TERRIBLE emotional eaters, When I get stressed, I BAKE.
I BAKE really bad things for your body like brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins (all with chocolate of course) whatever new recipe I have been wanting to try, I try them all. I have gone through so many chocolate chips in the past two weeks its ridiculous. I am not talking about the little bags of chocolate chips I am talking about the primo, large, massive bags from Costco. So to keep me OUT of the kitchen I am blogging.

We had a great time going to the Real Salt Lake soccer game with friends and neighbors. My kids thought it was so cool and had a blast with all of their friends. Chad was able to get about 20 tickets from a friend so we all went and took the kids. Last Sunday evening while Chad was in meetings the kids wanted to do acrobats in the front yard (the weather has been beautiful here) I love it when my kiddos play together and find things to do that include each other. I do enjoy having my kids so close in age for this reason.
Then finally Andrew started preschool. He goes three days a week with two of his best buddies, Isaac and Gabe.Happy Baking!!!

This post MADE ME LAUGH! You funny girl. And I'm sad I'm not there to share in your stress baking. I just eat really bad things that are made elsewhere: donuts, chimichangas, candy (I NEVER am usually tempted by candy), ice cream bars, etc. You name it if it's bad, and it goes into this body.

You are so cute. Everytime I bake I burn it, so I don't bake very much. I hope everything is ok with your dad.

Do you share your chocolate recipies? I am always looking for new (bad for you) recipies. I am more like Tara and just eat the store bought stuff (like a whole bad of M&Ms), but love to have the good recipies for when I get around to making something. Maybe a good time to take treats to all the neighbors?

This is so true. Everytime I call Cassie I ask her what she's baking. At first she asked me what I was talking about, but then I told her I knew that with all that was going on with Dad she would be baking all the time. Did I call it or what. As we all know chocolate is the best comfort food ever and us LaRues tend to take advantage of that.

Chocolate just helps doesn't it? Hey all those things you are baking probably have eggs and milk, etc etc and they are good for you...so go on and enjoy...my motto has always been that my spirit is going to be a knock out so eat your sadness and worries away while you're here...of course that doesn't help when nothing fits...I have some great recipes I can send you...IT IS A SIN TO WASTE CHOCOLATE YA KNOW!!!!! Take care of yourself while you are going thru this and I love all the phots of your kiddo's and what a beautiful yard you have...I am jealous...

Baking and eating must be a Nelson thing. I do the same. I can't even buy chocolate chips or I eat all of them. My neighbors probably wonder why I always borrow chocolates from them. Hope everything is going well. Still praying for you.
